Battery about to die

“Battery about to die” is something smartphones scream in notification alerts, when they are close to shutting down, because the battery is running low.

It has become an obsession these days to have our phone batteries ALWAYS charged. An out-of-charge smartphone battery is the situation you avoid at any cost 🙂

We carry power banks and have charging setups in our cars. These days, even motorbikes enabled to charge our devices, thanks to dear China.

More interestingly, I see folks putting this up in WhatsApp status all around “Battery about to die….”. I wonder what the motive is?

Maybe to let the world know that I may be out of the virtual world till the battery is charged again. And this period could last to frightening larger durations, ranging from a couple of minutes to some more minutes :). Or just to create a legitimate reason to hang up an unwanted call.

Smartphone battery anxiety is a real thing these days 🙂

I found an interesting situation portrayed in the Holy Quran, Surah Al-Hadid (chapter 57) and Ayah 12,13. On the Day of Judgement, believing men and women will have a light shining ahead of them and on their right side, showing the way towards Jannah (Paradise).

The hypocrites’ lights will dim out, and they will ask the believers to wait for them. Their batteries are about to die…..

Imagine if there were WhatsApp available on Judgement Day; then the perfect status for the people in trouble would be “Battery about to die…”

This forces me to think, at times, can I afford a dying battery there? Am I doing something here to charge the battery of my faith (Imaan) and the good deeds that help me generate light on Pul-e-Siraat (The bridge of Siraat), when I need it the most, so I cross it successfully, In sha Allah.

May Allah save us there from reaching the situation where “The battery is about to die”.
